Things to Do
- Spanish lessons: Me Gusta Spanish School is where we took classes and we would highly recommend them (1200BOB per week for private classes, 1000BOB for group). They offer home stays too if you’re up for it!
- Cretácico Parque: Real dinosaur footprints that have been raised vertical with tectonic plates (30BOB entry + 15BOB bus).
- Mirador Norte Churuquella: Pleasant walk up to a spiritual area with nice views of Sucre along the way.
- Central Market: All varieties of stores to explore, clustered in groups of the type of goods they sell. Would recommend the smoothies!
- Plaza Pedro de Anzúrez: Historical square with good views of the city, prime for a sunset cocktail!

- Our favourite hostel: CasArte Takubamba
- Highest rated hostel: Villa Oropeza Guest House (we didn’t stay here but heard looks of good reviews from fellow students).
Food & Drink
- Best coffee: Coffee Bike
- Best salteñas: Salteñeria El Patio (note they shut at 1pm!)
- Best dinner: Cafe Restaurant Florin
Getting Around
- Getting there: Tickets Bolivia
- From bus terminal: Taxi (15BOB for 2p).
- Around town: Walking, taxis.
Money Matters
- Best currency exchange: 11BOB to 1USD (50s & 100s only), though we didn’t look too long.
